Your mission

As a Seniopr / Principal Project Manager you will take accountability and successfully deliver complex, international engineering projects. This is a role for a project professional who understands the commercial and operational mechanics of a business as well as the technical delivery. You will be responsible for navigating projects through high levels of ambiguity and ensuring they are delivered legally, profitably, and on time.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Delivery: Directing multi-disciplinary teams across different countries to deliver high-stakes engineering programmes.
  • Commercial & Regulatory Oversight: Managing the project lifecycle, including contract negotiations and project execution with a deep understanding of associated elements such as supply chain, export licensing and international logistics.
  • Strategic Adaptability: Applying the right methodology for the task - utilising structured Waterfall planning where necessary, and Agile practices when speed and flexibility are paramount.
  • Operational Leadership: Acting as the central point of contact for stakeholders and customers, ensuring technical requirements align with business objectives and legal constraints.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management and delivery in both waterfall and agile environments.
  • Background in engineering or significant experience leading complex technical projects in complex, multi-national environments
  • Possess a broad understanding of how a business functions, specifically regarding the risks and requirements of moving hardware and technology globally.
  • Strong account management and customer relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Comfortable working at a fast pace and have a genuine desire to improve how we operate. We want someone who will challenge the defence status quo to find more efficient ways of working without compromising on quality.
  • Experience in defence or technology sectors preferred.
  • Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance
