About Us

STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionizing the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments.

We’re focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems—not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe—today.

Your mission

We are looking for a Senior Production Engineer to lead manufacturing and prototyping operations at our Greek facility. This role is not focused on large-scale industrial production, but on building a highly agile and capable production environment that supports rapid development, prototyping, validation, demonstrations, and small-batch manufacturing of advanced UAV systems.

You and your team will operate at the intersection of engineering and manufacturing, enabling fast iteration cycles while ensuring high standards of quality, reliability, and traceability. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, requiring someone comfortable moving between workshop execution, process definition, and operational leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day production and workshop operations for prototype and low-rate UAV manufacturing.

  • Build and manage a small, highly capable production team supporting engineering, testing, demonstrations, and customer deliveries.

  • Support rapid prototyping efforts by working closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Embedded, and Flight Test teams.

  • Establish efficient assembly, integration, testing, and rework workflows adapted to fast development cycles rather than serial production.

  • Coordinate production planning and execution for small manufacturing lots used in demos, testing campaigns, evaluations, and operational trials.

  • Implement pragmatic manufacturing processes, documentation standards, and quality controls appropriate for aerospace and defence environments.

  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, material shortages, and integration issues in close collaboration with Supply Chain and Engineering.

  • Own workshop organization, tooling, inventory flow, and EHS standards within the facility.

  • Contribute to design-for-manufacturing feedback loops to improve manufacturability, reliability, and assembly efficiency of future systems.

  • Support the transition of mature prototypes into repeatable low-volume production processes where required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defence, robotics, automotive, drone, or other high-tech hardware manufacturing environments.

  • Previous experience leading production, assembly, integration, or prototyping teams.

  • Strong hands-on understanding of manufacturing, production engineering, or system integration processes.

  • Comfortable operating in prototype-heavy, fast-iteration environments with changing priorities and evolving designs.

  • Practical understanding of quality management and manufacturing documentation processes (AS9100, ISO9001, or similar standards).

  • Strong problem-solving mentality with the ability to balance speed, quality, and operational pragmatism.

  • Able to combine strategic ownership with hands-on execution on the shop floor.

  • Fluent English required; Greek is a plus.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with electromechanical assemblies, UAV systems, robotics platforms, or other complex hardware products is highly desirable.

If you're interested in building the future of European Defence with us, and you see yourself reflected on the description above, please send us your CV in English. We´re looking forward to meeting you!
