Your mission

As a Senior Technician, you are the subject matter expert for machine reliability and plant availability. You resolve complex technical issues beyond standard maintenance activities and support the development of the technical team through hands-on guidance and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex faults in automated systems, including PLC-controlled equipment, robotics, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
  • Execute and continuously improve preventive maintenance activities to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment reliability
  • Implement technical improvements and corrective actions to increase machine performance, reliability, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Provide technical support, practical guidance, and on-the-job coaching for Junior Technicians and apprentices
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) of new machinery and production equipment
  • Ensure that maintenance activities, repairs, and technical modifications are properly documented and carried out according to safety and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Completed technical training in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation Technology, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in industrial maintenance within an automated production environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation technologies
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Structured, independent, and safety-focused working approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal
  • Knowledge of industrial robotics (e.g. ABB, KUKA, Fanuc)
  • Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems
  • Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement environments
  • Basic knowledge of industrial network and fieldbus systems such as Profinet, Profibus, or Ethernet/IP
