Your mission
We are seeking a hands-on Avionics & Software Integration Specialist to handle the software setup, firmware flashing, and subsystem integration of our UAVs using Linux (Ubuntu) tools, ensuring every aircraft is fully calibrated and tested before its first flight.
Responsibilities
- Firmware & Integration: Flash and configure all UAV subsystems (flight controller, ESCs, radios, companion computer) and verify bus communications (Serial, CAN/DroneCAN, I2C).
- Commissioning & Testing: Perform full sensor calibrations, flight-mode setup, ESC/motor tests, safety failsafes, and pre-flight checkouts.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose integration issues using Linux CLI and system logs; isolate faults between software, parameters, or hardware/wiring.
- Production Tracking: Track unit status through the assembly pipeline and escalate technical blockers early.
Qualifications
- PX4 & QGroundControl: Hands-on experience with PX4 (or ArduPilot), parameter tuning, firmware flashing, and sensor calibration.
- Linux (Ubuntu): Daily comfort using command-line tools, configuration files, and system logs.
- UAV Hardware & Protocols: Working knowledge of flight controllers, ESCs, GPS, telemetry, and communication buses (CAN/DroneCAN, Serial, I2C).
- Electronics & Safety: Basic soldering/crimping skills, multimeter usage, and strict adherence to LiPo/power safety.
Nice to have
- Experience with automated test frameworks, scripting, or tooling for UAV commissioning and validation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, version control systems such as Git, or software release processes for embedded systems.
